there's more to life than reading books

“What she was finding also was how one book led to another, doors kept opening wherever she turned and the days weren't long enough for the reading she wanted to do.”

Crash - Nicole Williams Overall, a good afternoon read. What I enjoyed most? The Beatles references and yes, Jude's character did portray his Beatles's song nicely. I also enjoyed the ending, it tied everything together without too much drama. What I didn't like: some scenes were over the top (the burning scene early in the book WTF? This almost made me not finish the book). Also the characters seemed to be a lot older than 17 which made their conversations a bit hard to believe (i.e. Jude described all the sexual experiences he's ever had as unsatisfying. Really? Compared to what? You're 17!). I never enjoy when the main character runs straight in to the arms of someone else at the first sign of trouble, and in this case she stayed with him for 6 months without ever liking him. Tacky and unnecessary.
