I didn't enjoy this book as much as I expected (hoped?) to. There was nothing particularly wrong with it, I'd just read this story before. It was formulaic. Bad boy, good girl, wrong side of the tracks (I think there's literally a trainline running through this town), deny feelings for most of the story, finally admit feelings, cue short term break-up and wait for the HEA .
I enjoyed the Spanish dialogue at first (and trying to translate it), but then the phrases felt they were just thrown in for the sake of reminding us that the characters are Latino. It felt cut and pasted.
I'm giving this story 3 stars instead of 2 because I do recommend it to anyone after a sweet (but cheesy), tried-but-true high school romance. Just don't expect to be blown away by it.
